the top images are from her 2008 Merletti exhibition at SCI-ARC, which took three months to develop and complete. laser-cut components were assembled to create a room-scale lace, with surface effects ranging from solid to permeable. alongside the installation, she also created a series of dresses within the same aesthetic.
the gold images are of a model from a 2006 competition submission, representing a concept for a vertical garden. i think the specificity and delicacy of this are remarkable.
